About Lisa
Prior to joining The Law Office of Emily Bradford, Lisa was a prosecutor at the New York County District Attorney’s Office, where she worked in several bureaus in the Investigation Division before being promoted to Senior Investigative Counsel in the Major Economic Crimes Bureau. Lisa investigated and prosecuted complex financial crimes including money laundering, securities and investment fraud, and tax fraud. Lisa’s public service also included a tenure at the New York State Attorney General’s Office - first as an Assistant Attorney General, and later as Senior Counsel - in the Taxpayer Protection Bureau, where she investigated and litigated claims of fraud committed against New York and its localities.
Before entering government service, Lisa was an associate at the law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York, where she worked on complex commercial litigation with a focus on corporate, securities, and labor and employment matters. Lisa also was a member of the firm's Criminal Defense and Investigations Group, and conducted internal investigations and represented clients before federal, state, and local agencies. After law school Lisa clerked for the late Honorable Thomas C. Platt, U.S.D.J., in the Eastern District of New York.
Lisa is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at the Maurice A. Deane Law School at Hofstra University, where she teaches a yearlong course in legal writing and research.
